joshua peterson with peterson electric herein loveland, colorado. we were called out on a job to fix a burnt wire. it was foundby the plumber who came out to fix a leaky faucet. the wire had been soldered, basicallymelted. no issue yet with the wire shorting out. what we did was cut the wire out and "fished" it
back through. if
snaking wires through insulated walls, not corrected then a short would have happenedbetween the neutral and hot and ground eventually causing it to melt. the insulation jacketwas already showing a lot of break down from the current running on it.
